A vector converter is a digital electronic device that converts the signals in analog electric circuits to their equivalent numeric form. The process is usually accomplished by sampling the signal at regular intervals and digitally converting the sampled voltage to a binary string of zeros and ones. This string is then stored in memory, whereby the converted data are read out for use.
