In Season 14, Tibault’s Will is one of those drops that can reshape a build the moment you equip it. The pants are particularly useful when your character needs tighter resource control, more damage during a key window, or a sturdier feel in difficult fights. That’s why players who are already refining their Diablo 4 Items tend to keep Tibault’s Will on their shortlist. It isn’t tied to one clean, obvious boss route, so waiting for it to fall from ordinary runs can get old fast. The Horadric Cube gives you a more deliberate option. You are still working with luck, of course, but you can aim each attempt at the pants slot instead of hoping a huge loot pool happens to land on the right item.
Why These Pants Matter
Tibault’s Will earns its reputation because it works with more than one style of character. Builds that spend resources hard, move through packs quickly, or rely on well-timed bursts can all get something out of it. The appeal is not just a bigger number on a character sheet. In actual play, a good pair can make rotations feel less awkward. You may have enough resource at the point where you usually run dry, or enough extra damage to finish an elite before the fight drags on. That sort of difference matters more once you are pushing tougher Torment tiers. People often chase the first copy and call it done, but it is worth checking the roll closely. A better version can be a real upgrade, especially if the rest of your gear is already close to where you want it.
Start With the Right Pants
The Cube route begins with Ancestral pants. Pick them up during your normal endgame loop rather than treating them as junk the second they hit the ground. You will need a decent stack if you want several attempts, and having a stash tab ready for them saves a surprising amount of hassle. Nightmare Dungeon Escalations are a solid place to start because they keep gear, experience, and materials coming at the same time. Helltides also fit nicely into the routine. There are plenty of drops, plenty of enemies, and targeted chests can add more pants to your pile. Boss runs have their place too, particularly when your group needs other rewards, though they are not the most focused answer for this specific hunt. The key is simple: keep bringing home Ancestral pants, then use the Horadric Cube’s Unique upgrade recipe on that slot. Each result is narrowed to Unique pants, which makes the process far more purposeful than clearing content with no target in mind.
Make Each Cube Session Count
It helps to treat Cube crafting as part of a wider farming session, not a thing you do after every single drop. Run a few activities, gather pants and materials, then head back when you have enough for a proper batch of attempts. That rhythm feels better and makes it easier to see whether you are actually building supplies or just burning through them. Keep an eye on your gold as well. Upgrading gear, adjusting your setup, and preparing a new drop all cost something, and nobody wants to pause a useful run because their purse is empty. A common mistake is salvaging every pair of pants out of habit. Another is spending materials on gear slots that do not help the current goal. Stay focused, but don’t tunnel-vision so hard that you skip good rewards from Helltides or dungeons. Those runs can still improve the rest of your character while you wait for Tibault’s Will to show up.
Final Thoughts
The most practical approach is to build a steady loop: collect Ancestral pants, gather Cube materials through high-density endgame content, and convert those pants whenever you have a worthwhile batch ready. It may take a number of tries, and that is normal. The upside is that every attempt points toward the slot you actually need rather than disappearing into the full Unique pool. Keep the first usable pair if it improves your build, then continue only if a stronger roll would make a noticeable difference. With a sensible gold reserve, regular Nightmare Dungeon Escalations, and a few cheap Diablo IV Items to round out weak spots, the hunt becomes a manageable part of your Season 14 progression instead of a frustrating grind.
