Learn Peer Support Skills and Contribute to Youth Well-Being
What if learning to listen could become a meaningful way to contribute to your community? Outlive invites young people interested in mental health and youth well-being to explore volunteer opportunities through its peer-support program.
Outlive is a youth suicide prevention initiative in India that works to reduce stigma and improve access to emotional support. Through its peer-support program, young volunteers are trained to offer chat-based emotional support to young people experiencing distress or thoughts of suicide.

Build Skills That Matter Beyond Volunteering
Peer support is about listening with care, respecting individual experiences, and understanding when to guide someone towards additional help. Outlive’s approach combines training and mentorship to help volunteers understand these responsibilities.
The program is volunteer-based, and selected participants receive free training and a certificate recognising their volunteering contribution after meeting the applicable requirements.
