For this build, physical damage is the part that matters most. If the base is already worth something, the usual next move is Omen of Necromancy plus a Vaal Orb, though some players prefer an Ancient Vaal Orb if the item is pricey enough to justify the risk.

Finishing the weapon

Once the core is there, the rest is a bit of a gamble, and everyone knows it. Unveil for flat physical damage first if you can get it, since that usually gives the cleanest boost for Ice Shot. Then use Omen of Greater Exaltation and slam the remaining affixes. Good suffixes are attack speed, accuracy, or another useful projectile mod. A lucky end result can end up with high % physical damage, flat physical damage, crit chance, and one more strong suffix, which is more than enough to carry high maps and bosses without feeling clunky.

Budget setup and recycling

If you are still early in a league, the Non-Crit Bow is the cheaper path. Swap Seeking for Greater Essence of Abrasion and you get a solid starter weapon with flat physical damage, which is usually enough to keep mapping smooth for a while. A lot of players do this first, then upgrade later when they have more currency. It also helps to keep spare Obliterator and Warmonger bows. Three magic bows can become one new magic bow, and three rares can do the same for a rare base.
